A sanctuary for songwriters.
A human-first creative home where real instruments, artistry, camaraderie & inspiration lead.
WHO WE ARE
The Song House is a community hub for independent songwriters.
This is a place to hone your craft through direct contact with living artists, to share your work in a carefully held Listening Room, and to take part in collaborative creation. We treat songwriting as a devoted practice.
A home for songwriters — many rooms, one table.
The Listening Room is where original songs are shared and received with care.
There are other rooms too, including: the kitchen table, the family room, the porch, the study, and more!
Join the list and we’ll send you an invitation to come in.

VISION
OUR MISSION
To create the conditions in which songwriters can deepen their craft through direct contact with exceptional living artists, sustained peer community, collaborative creation, and an environment that honours the creative process as something sacred, personal, and deeply human.
OUR VISION
We envision a living community of songwriters around the world who feel truly at home in their creativity — a place known for the quality of its teachers, the integrity of its culture, and the lasting effect it has on the people who pass through it.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
Human-first creativity
Real instruments and honest expression
Nature as a source of inspiration
Depth over speed
Community as co-creation
Songwriting as a meaningful and sacred path
This is a place to become more yourself through your songs.
A sustainable path for artists to share their craft directly with people who care
Artist-Led Workshops
Four-week creative immersions led by working songwriters.
Each workshop offers a blend of teaching, reflection, writing prompts, and shared songwriting practices, held in a supportive and unhurried environment. Participants write, record, and share original songs.
Workshops are supported by a Kickstarter campaign so that the artist’s base fee is secured by real demand before the course begins. Ticket sales continue until the first day of the workshop. Successfully delivered workshops become part of The Song House Archives.
November 2026 — One pilot 4-week workshop
2027 — Six workshops with Six Founding Artists, producing Six Songcabin songs that form our first EP.

songcabin
Songcabin is the collaborative house-band of The Song House. For each cycle we release a set of core stems — the seed of a song. Anyone in the community can add to them: harmonies, new verses, instrumentation, or a complete reimagining. From the many versions that emerge, the person who planted the original seed chooses the rendition that becomes the official Songcabin recording for that cycle. Over time these songs accumulate. Six songs can become an EP. Thirteen songs can become an album. The work stays in motion, and no one has to carry it alone.
HOW IT WORKS
With each workshop, Songcabin begins a new song. The core stems are released so that anyone in the community can contribute — adding harmonies, verses, instrumentation, or completely reimagining the track.
Guest artists and workshop leaders are invited to contribute to the song of the cycle in which their course takes place. In this way, Songcabin gradually becomes a living band that bridges many inspiring artists, weaving their voices into the ongoing creative life of The Song House.
From the many versions that emerge, the strongest interpretations are gathered into the final collection.
WHY IT MATTERS
Songcabin turns passive membership into active co-creation.
It gives every participant a real role in shaping the music that represents The Song House.
And it keeps the spirit of collaboration at the center of everything we do.
This is not just a project.
It is the heartbeat of the community — a shared body of work that grows with every voice that joins it.

Workshops
At The Song House, learning and creating happen in community.
These offerings are currently being prepared and will be announced through our mailing list as they become available.
ARTIST-LED WORKSHOPS
Intimate gatherings guided by working songwriters. Most are four weeks; some may be shorter. Each combines teaching, reflection, writing, and shared listening in a supportive, unhurried environment. Workshops are supported by a crowdfunding campaign with a clear participation threshold chosen by the artist. If the threshold is not reached, the workshop does not proceed. When it succeeds, the artist receives a fair base fee and participants receive a focused creative experience. Successfully delivered workshops become part of The Song House Archives.
Other Ways Artists Can Contribute
Not every offering needs to be a full multi-week workshop. Artists may also contribute shorter forms of teaching — such as a focused lecture on their songwriting process — which can live on as evergreen content for the community.
THE LISTENING ROOM
A dedicated space where members can upload and share their songs. The Listening Room serves as the community’s heart of listening — a place to present work, receive thoughtful feedback, and discover the music being made by fellow songwriters. We are growing community, growing songs, and literally growing forests. We pledge to plant one tree for every song uploaded to The Listening Room.
1 Song = 1 Tree.
